India Beats Holland

Quite comfortably, we might add. However, Prem Panicker's headline says that Doeschate's fiver restricts India to 300.
No, Prem. When a team allows another team to score 300, it is not "restricting" anything.

None of the questions India wanted answers for were answered. Namely:
1. Is Virender Sehwag in good nick? No.
2. Did Robin Uthappa make the most of the opportunity given to him? No.
3. Did Irfan Pathan find his bowling rhythm? Not even close.

Well, India have another match to sort out their problems. Sehwag and Uthappa might but it is very unlikely that Pathan is going to find his bowling rhythm in one match.

I would like to chime in with similar sentiments. Blokes have messed up a golden opportunity to spend sometime in the middle - Sehwag & Utappa in particular. However, the most significant improvement for team India would be their game plan during the last 15 overs of batting (if they chose to bat) and the first 15 overs (when they are defending totals). I would rate team india lower than other test playing countries for their ability or lack of it to lift the run rate during the last 10 overs....

Let us keep our fingers crossed and hope that they advance to the semis (?)

The team brain trust (Greg Chappell, Dravid, Tendulkar, and the selection committee) concluded that the 20 to 40 over period is the most important period in a game.

Who knows? Like you said, maybe the first 15 overs and the last 15 overs are very important. I won't be concerned too much about the last 15 overs if India scores around 300 runs in 50 overs. That is not going to happen all the time.

I hope they reach the semi-finals too. Realistically, to reach the semis, India will have to win 7 games out of the 9 games they play.

Assuming that India beats Bangladesh and Bermuda. That leaves us with 5 games out of 7. We will be most probably playing Sri Lanka, Pakistan, West Indies, Australia, South Africa, England, and New Zealand.

Of those countries, I think the games against Sri Lanka, West Indies, England, and New Zealand are winnable.

So, we have to win one game out of the remaining three (Pakistan, Australia, and South Africa).

Looks hard. Hope they do it. Nothing to do now except wait and see...
