Canada Vs Kenya, Group C

Kenya beats Canada. Easily. Without breaking a sweat. Handily. Do you want to know how, my dear readers? Because you read our blog, we will tell you what you might have discovered for yourself if you had happened to glance at the scorecard.

The Kenyans have the awesome power of "O" with them and hence they are untouchable when they play other minnows. What is this magnificent power of "O", you ask? Why, it's: Odoyo, Ongondo, Odhiambo, Obuya (two of them!), Ouma, and Ogonji Tikolo.

That's a lot of O's in a team. The other vowels must be very jealous.

Bangladesh and now Kenya, have the best chance of pulling off an upset. England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, and India are very capable of playing shambolic cricket. If any of those 4 teams have a bad day, Kenya and Bangladesh can beat them. Easily. Without breaking a sweat. Handily. For our sanity's sake we hope it's Kenya that does all the upsetting.

H'mmm... Unfortunately for Kenya, I can’t think of a single famous cricketer with a name starting with “O”.

Er…Bill O’Reilly? James Ormond?

Not looking good.

Henry Olonga . . . more famous for his politics than his bowling, though.

What are you talking about? ;-)
There are many famous cricketers:
Obradman, Otendulkar, Ograce, Otrumper, I could go on and on...

A point to be noted, I did not say they were in any danger of becoming great cricketers. Just said that the power of O overwhelms other minnows...
