India named it's 15 man World Cup squad and there were no surprises. If one compared the 15 man squad we picked and the 15 man squad BCCI named, the only difference one would find would be that Anil Kumble is in and Suresh Raina is out.
We still think picking Anil Kumble is a bad idea and will gladly eat our words if proved wrong. There was a time when Kumble could bowl his 10 overs for 30-35 runs, unfortunately, those days are long gone. Kumble's surprise ball is the ball which actually spins.
The only way this might work is if we have 5 bowlers in the line-up. If we have 5 bowlers, both spinners may play but then again, that is very unlikely since India usually plays with 7 batsmen.
We will tell you what would have made us very very happy even though we didn't think it was likely. Dropping Kumble's ass for Laxman. That won't happen now. We feel sad that Laxman will never play a World Cup match. This just SUCKS. We feel so sad that Laxman did not make it that we will put his photograph in this post even though it has nothing to do with anything.
